Android application development

Application is an online TV / Radio streaming client. It uses REST-like service to obtain data and display streams. What is currently implemented: - User login / logout Live Module - List of channels (TV) - List of slots (per each channel - name, time, genre...) - Details of each slot (name, time, description, genre...) Player Module - Player featuring current slot information Settings Module - Single view client settings list (username, wifi / 3g setting, parental control...) Already prototyped application should be further developed. Steps include implementation of data persistence layer, data fetching strategy and visual style enhancements. Oh yea, if you don't respond with the current time What is expected to be implemented: - For each REST call (user token/login/logout, list of all channels, list of slots for particular date, details of the slot, list of dates for channel, all channels with all slots/very large json called rarely, user settings) should get it's own storage mapper and storage space, - Local storage for channels, slots, settings, etc. - Each REST call should have configurable triggering strategy (on event - with list of events - user interaction, timer events, etc..., recurrent - with recurrent strategy: every N minutes, hours or once daily, weekly..., on server event - Google Cloud Messaging (GCM)), and application should have implemented business logic for triggering the calls based on this configuration (configuration itself could come via GCM) - Settings Module should become separate Activity with multiple screens and few new options (with implementation of that options within the application - business logic), - User interface (visual enhancements). Overall architecture of the application should not be disturbed. This assumes that selected developer should read already implemented code and follow the conventions and coding style, implementing solutions which would only improve current application quality. Libraries used in the project: picasso, retrofit, timber, rxjava, support-annotiations, gson, butterknife, bugsnag.
