My name is Mohit Narula and I am an engineer. I have a pet project which I thought I should put it for execution on iOS platform. Later it can be extended to Android platform depending upon how well it goes on iOS. To give you a short introduction on the idea, you must know that this idea is targeted for people living in India. India has over 1.3 billion population so in my defense, this idea has a big market. Marriage in India is a big thing and nothing short of a festival. Indian marriages include exchange of gifts with most popular being in cash. The cash is considered as a gift money and righteously presented to the ones getting married in a well decorated paper envelope with a personalized note on it. In almost every part of India, this small packet of envelope is called a "Shagun" in Hindi. Literal meaning of Shagun is a good omen or a good occasion. Therefore, this Shagun is not limited to Marriages but extends to any good occasion like child birth, engagements or birthdays or anniversaries. My app idea is to take this traditional exchanges of Shagun to a more modern way using Mobile Apps. I have a sketch ready which I will share upon some feedback.
