Description: ActiveX DLL or OCX to convert AVI DV Type I digital movies to a Video for Windows compliant AVI file. Further Explanation: AVI DV Type I is a format created by some digital cameras and software wherein the audio and video are included in one single stream. The Microsoft Video for Windows standard requires two streams, i.e. a VID and AUD stream. Computer Languages: The application is to be written in MS Visual C++ 6 to be used in MS Visual Basic 6. Functionality: When passed the path to an AVI file the component must return TRUE if the format is DV Type I and FALSE if VFW complaint. The component must also include a Convert method which when passed the path to an AVI file will convert the AVI DV Type I format to a Video for Windows complaint format while updating publicly available progress and time remaining properties. Internal errors should raise errors and should not display message boxes unless there is a provision to change the text of the message box at the VB level. Interface: None unless a VB project is required by the developer to explain usage. Conventions: The component’s name must be 8 characters or less beginning with the letters FX, must be marked as copyrighted by the buyer and must contain build and version information that can be read by Windows installer programs. Technologies: Any technologies used in the component must be available to the buyer without special licensing. Only files delivered in the Microsoft DirectX SDK are acceptable. Third party library files utilizing modified, wrapped Microsoft DLL’s or filters are not acceptable
## Deliverables
1) All source code with any required includes must be marked throughout as copyrighted by the buyer with the appropriate date. 2) The project will not be considered complete until the buyer can compile the source on in-house computers. 3) If the source code includes open source or any other source code with other copyright information required by third parties it will be rejected. 4) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased must be passed in writing by the developer to the buyer.
