I cannot get the **mailto** function code to work -- when I test the code below it wants me to create a new email account. My viewers should not have to create an email account just to send their completed form to me.
My research leads me to understand that if I use server-side scripting languages such as asp, php, coldfusion to handle my form. This way the user which submits my form won’t need to have a mailing application on his computer, and I have more power over the data that is sent to me.
Unfortunately, I do not know these applications. I need someone to recreate my code in asp, php, or coldfusion.
I need a stand-alone code file which will result in a page that looks like the one I have designed as a webpage ??" and viewers can enter their information in the appropriate fields, and then send the form to me without the viewers needing to have an email address. See the attachment, 2nd page, to see the information the form should contain.
