I need to export data from block attributes in AutoCad drawings into Access, manipulate the data in Access and import back into AutoCad. This needs to be preformed across multiple drawings. Method 1 - Modify existing LISP (AutoCad Express Tools/Blocks Export or Import Attribute data.) LISP with NOTES in header attached. Export- Change lisp from write out to individual file to append one common file from multiple drawings. Add source drawing number to each record in the file. Import- Add code to read text file and look for drawing number that matches the selected or open drawing. Only the records that match will be imported back into the drawing. Or Method 2 VBA link between AutoCad and Access. See [login to view URL] Somehow the link needs to be across multiple drawings. Even if the drawing package attribute information is read into Access one at a time, and then one at a time back into the drawing after Access manipulation. In either case, the source code may be required.
