Advanced Find and Replace

Using vb script, or some other windows scripting, cycle through a given single file, OR directory and all sub directories, opening each file of a specified type (multiple types specified e.g. .txt,.js,.css,.php,.html) extract all strings that match certain patterns and write them to a file. See extended details below in develiverables section. Patterns requested will be: var foo, var foo= (extract foo) $foo, $foo=,$foo; (ETC...) (extract foo) .foo{} (extract foo) class="foo" (extract foo) id="foo" (extract foo) function foo() (extract foo) WHERE foo can be any string. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). The patterns I am looking for are programming variables. I want to extract all programming variables and have them written to a file. For example, open every document and find all javascript variables (var foo) and add "foo" to a text file. Continue and find all php variables - ($foo). This script would need to identify all variables in javascript, php, all css class names (both from html: class="foo" and stylesheets: .foo{}), all html element id values (id="foo"), all functions both javascript and php (function foo(){}). All of these variables should be written to a text file indicating which variable type they are and what page they came from Example: foo javascript [login to view URL] foo1 css [login to view URL] foo2 php [login to view URL] foo3 html [login to view URL] foo functionJS [login to view URL] foo functionPHP [login to view URL] The script should also indicate if it encountered any errors during operation that prevented it from completing the job 100%. ## Platform This must be able to run on a windows xp, windows vista pc without any additional software required to operate.
