Content Management PHP MYSQL

> Purpose: The purpose of this project is to create a content management system that is portable from one website to another. It should allow a simple method of changing text and photos on a website as needed. This is a back end management system which must require a login. This should allow for multiple users. <b>Below is a very clear understanding of what we are requesting:</b> Upon logging in, the user should have 2 options: 1) Add / Edit / Delete Existing Site Text -- Shows a list of existing text. Allows for changing or deleting of text associated with its Text ID. Text ID: [ ] Text To Display: [TEXT ] Submit [ ] 2) Add / Edit / Delete Existing Site Photos -- Shows a list of existing photos. Allows for changing or deleting of photos associated with its Photo ID. Photo ID: [ ] Photo Description: [varchar 255] Upload Photo [BROWSE] Photo Path: [ ] Submit [ ] A Javascript error should appear anytime the user inserts a space in an ID field. ’Alert’ Not spaces allowed in ID field. Removing spaces. The script should then automatically pull out the spaces. If the first letter after the space is an alphabetic character it should then be capitalized for clarity. Must make sure that php addslashes or urlencoding is used where appropriate to insure odd characters ‘”&? etc are carried through the process. If the user is ‘adding’ a new Text_ID or a Photo_ID you must check to see if it already exists. If it does, the data submitted must be redisplayed along with the error message ‘This ID already assigned – You must change the ID or if you prefer, cancel and edit the existing ID (ID Name)… If the user is ‘editing’ a Text_ID or a Photo_ID the ID field cannot be changed, only the data associated with it. The database name for purposes of this project will be cmsm_db All images should be deposited in the ‘images’ folder off the root directory for that domain. Image data should be stored in the mysql database table cmsm_photos All text should be stored as TEXT in the mysql database table cmsm_text. ID fields can be either text or numbers and should be limited to 15 characters. At this point, with the database populated, the developer should be able to open a php page and display text or images where appropriate through a php function created for this purpose. For instance, if we know image ID ‘horsePic’ goes here. We could call the function that pulls it from the database, i.e.; <img src=’<? Echo getCmsmImage(‘horsePic’); ?>’> . This function would then get the path that this picture was deposited in within that sites directory structure. Text could also be displayed by simply calling the function <? Echo getCmsmText(‘Home_1’); ?> It would be helpful if the interface itself was pleasant looking though this is secondary to the immediate need.
