Auction Site Customization Project

We have an auction web site. This web site supports certain user operations, and it has a lot of scripts written in PHP. The site itself is multilingual, and the strings come from a MySQL database. We currently charge a certain amount from each of our customers when they submit an item to our site, or we monthly charge them based on the accumulated cost of their operations. What we would like to be added to our site is as follows: * A new membership system which supports three type of memberships: - Silver - Gold - Platinum The difference between these membership types will be their cost and the amount of items these members can post every month, i.e. a Silver member can post Y items per month and will pay X dolars. * A new payment system in which the buyers make the payment to us (step 1), sellers ship the items (step 2), buyer accepts the product (step 3) and we send the money to the seller (step 4). Currently we only receive the money from the sellers based on their accumulated charges, and there is no escrow mechanism. We want this escrow mechanism. * We are not satisfied with the looks of our web site. We need new icons and stylesheets to bring our site a more modern and robust look. The coder to bid on this project should have solid knowledge of PHP, MySQL, online payment systems (like PayPal 2CO etc.) Plus graphical skills are necessary in order to complete necessary icon designs and css styles etc. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The application runs on Linux platform and is implemented with PHP. Your code should be cross browser (must both work in Firefox and Internet Explorer. We will give you all the source code, database scripts and instructions to setup our site on your local development environment. You can then make the necessary customizations.
