Database search

We need to be able to search for values across several tables. Once matching records are found we need to be able to change their fields with click & edit functionality. Every change has to be loged: User / Old value / New value / DateTime Matching records will come from different tables with totally different structures. We need to be able to define and store configurations for the search engine which include: - Searchable tables (pick from list) - Searchable fields. (pick from list) - Editable fields We will have different user roles running this search. Each role will be able to run only one search profile. The administrator profile will be able to create new search profiles. The search will be a select box with client Id values, and a text box for the search value. Every single table in the databases has a client Id column. Leaving the client Id unset should search across all clients. You don´t worry about user management, you will receive the value of the corresponding profile in a session variable.
