Build an e-commerce web site using a CMS.? The web site will be used for selling jewelry and art items.
The content of the web site should be updatable through the CMS.? The site owner and other privileged site users designated by the owner should be able to add items to the sales inventory, give the? items? descriptions, prices, and pictures, and categorize the items according to one or more categories.? End users should be able to browse these categories, browse by artist, etc.? End users should also be able to search on the inventory by item title, item description, and artist, etc.

MAIN? PAGE:
The bidder will be responsible for the complete design of the? main page.? The bidder should be capable of designing some basic graphics and should be capable of setting up a reasonably attractive layout.? You may be asked to design a simple logo and a few other custom graphics for us.? This should be accomplished using stock photography.? Stock images may also be used for any buttons or icons.? This project is not primarily a graphic design project.
REGISTRATION AND AUTHORIZATION:
Users should be able to register as members on the site.? The site owner should be able to designate authorization to users to permit them to add and edit items.
ADDING OF ITEMS:
The site owner and other authorized users should be able to add items to the site inventory, categorize them, and add pictures.? All content management must be web-based.
SITE PAYMENT METHODS:
Users should be able to purchase items from the site using PayPal or credit card.? The bidder should have advice on the best ways to implement these payment methods.
SECURITY:
The site should employ standard security measures to protect site user personal and financial information.
INTERNATIONALIZATION:
Preferably, the site will have some? internationalization features.? It will be preferred if items and their descriptions can be entered in more than one language.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The site? should be built with? accessibility in mind.? Here, we refer to accessibility to vision-impaired users.
SETTING UP THE DATABASE:
This project does NOT involve data entry or? populating the database with all the inventory.? This will be done by us.? However, you will need to set up a sufficient number of "placeholder" inventory items such that the full functionality of the web site can be demonstrated.? Such placeholder items can consist of boilerplate text for the item descriptions and stock photography for the item images.
HOW TO WIN THIS BID:

- We are looking for someone who has done this kind of thing before, and can use existing technology, solutions, layouts, graphics, etc. to put the site in place with efficiency.

- Bid amounts will be balanced against competence and experience to select the winning bidder.
