Closed beds tracking Access app

Need Access 2003 database to capture ongoing information. In our hospital we close beds for staffing issues for blocks of time. The database would capture what beds were closed, for how long and by whom. Reports would be needed for weekly, monthly, quarterly,? and yearly? totals, and queries would allow users to look at what units had the most closed beds, and what directors were most likely to close them. There would be 2 forms, one for bed closures for staffing reasons and one for maintenance reasons. ## Deliverables I will provide the list of units that the user will pick from and the list of directors that will be closing beds, and another list of the person filling out the form. I'll need to be able to update this info as staff comes and goes and units open and close. The reports will need to do some basic calculations. For instance if a unit closes 3 beds for 8 hours, and another unit closes 6 beds for 4 hours the report will need to be able to handle the math. Also in the form the user will enter the closed date and time (need a calendar control for these fields) and a projected reopen date and time, as well as a actual reopen date and time. If the user did not fill in the actual reopen date and time the reports would reflect the projected date and time as the amount of time closed. The canned reports would show the length of time beds were closed, sorted by units and with options to pick weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. There needs to be? robust query options so a user could slice and dice the data in a variety of ways. There will be approx 30-40 units with approx 10 directors and approx ten staff using the form.
