I want to be able to use my phone to scan a barcode and lookup certain information from Amazon using the API. It will be for personal use only. For example: 1) scan an item using phone (iPhone) 2) get sales rank, Fulfillment-by-Amazon prices, and other information. If the above is too hard... A PHP website with the ability to manually insert a UPC code and then have it lookup the information without having to go through the process of creating an app will do.
