Consulting - Software Specs

We need to have a piece of software developed and coding is not our area of expertise. We would like for think-outside-the-box people to help us draw up a set of detailed specs for this software so that it makes more sense to coders. Of course, if we can come to the right agreement on pricing as well we might be asking the consultant to complete the program itself through Rent-A-Coder private bid. This consultation should be able to assess the desired opration of the software and advise us concerning specs, language, and the possibility of certain aspects of the program being web-based. This software will be the cornerstone of a client's offering and we need to help them get it done right the first time. We envision this process taking somewhere between two and ten hours of your time, so your bid price reflects this time investment as well as some form of written report on your recommendations. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform PC functionality for XP and vista, we'll do mac and others later when it becomes evident that demand is there.
