Apache-PHP-MySQL on intranet

I need the flexibility of running a PHP/MySQL website either via an internet connection or serving it through a laptop on my intranet that connects through my wireless router. I have installed apache, PHHP and MySQL using the free tech platform created by NuSphere.com. I am seeking advice via phone on the pros and cons of what I have implemented including any security risks that have been created by enabling intranet features.? I also need advice on how to install phpMyAdmin to managhe the MySQL dbs and further advice on understanding my development environment and how to create connection strings and execute code for multiple domains from multiple PCs on my intranet. I envision this to be several 15 minute conversations... I am web savvy as to developing and managing PHP/MySQL sites over the internet using my own leased server.?
