Design for aromatic candle wick fitting machine

DESIGN FOR AROMATIC CANDLE WICK FITTING MACHINE We are a small engineering company based in South India. We need to develop a hand operated machine for inserting desired length of wick in an aluminium tube top of which is filled with some kind of putty which can be pressed and becomes hard in few hours. When it becomes hard the wick inserted is tightly secured. The client prefers hand operated machine for which we need a design. But you can submit a design for an electric operated version also. Description of the project: Aluminium tubes of 13 mm id and 75 mm length are taken. Top of the tube is filled with some type of putty or paste like material with a 4 mm centre hole. This partially processed tube is the input for the machine to be designed now. When the operation starts the worker takes one tube from the pool and places it on the spindle mounted on a base. The top of the spindle has 4 mm hole to receive the wick. A special type of wick of 1.5 mm dia made of chemical coated yarn is available in reel form in spools or bobbins or coil. For every operation, wick having a length of 31 mm is to be pulled and drawn down to the end of the hole in the spindle. At this time the putty has to be pressed so that the putty spreads around the wick and the wick is cut 15 mm above the putty. The tube is pulled out of the spindle. As such the machine has to perform three operations namely pulling the wick, pressing the putty and cutting the wick off the coil. If the machine can be run with small electric motors such designs are also welcome. To approve the project and to be eligible for selection you should submit an animated functioning of the machine
