I've been working as a designer in the develop of ideas from the first concept design, to the 3d modelling and finally the technical drawings for production. I'm also involved in projects in where i found suppliers and take care of the manufacture and delivery. Related with that, i worked with Manufacturers and 3PL Companies at China and Australia. Hi, One of those projects I have always wanted to do for myself. The issues as far as the injection molding goes is to get the melt up to the right temperature and apply enough pressure to fill the cavity. I have in the past used a granular material feel (PVC) through a heating column with direct injection. The limitations are that not all materials are either available or suitable for this level of injection molding, sliding members are difficult, and speed is really slow, even with cooling. BUT, nobody ever mentions the time it takes to 3D print!! The word 'mobile' makes me wonder what your application is, the rest of the project is well understood. Do you have any specifications on the cavity temperature, or the delivery temps you want to work with? Pressures would help too. Regards and good luck with the project. James Harrison-Smith
