Create framing layout and build sheets for timber framed townhouses from an engineered plan provided in DWG. Currently this is being done using the automated tools in BuilderCAD, and then reviewed manually. Initial project would be for a single, four unit townhouse however this is for a mid sized commercial builder putting up multiple (30-50) complexes per year and we are looking for an ongoing relationship. Once supplied with the fully engineered plan you would use whatever tools you prefer to extrapolate the interior and exterior wall layout, divided into sections to be built by the framing crew on sight. Eg. Project A has Twelve identical 16' exterior sections, Six 12' exterior sections with different window placement and Eight 24' exterior sections. A drawing will be provided for each type of section detailing the placement of each board required to frame it as well as the number and length of boards required to build it. (i.e. Twelve 10' 2"x4"s spaced 16" center on center, Six 16' 2"x4"s top and bottom, and a window requiring eight 4'3" 2"x4"s) Again, the tools are fairly well automated and homes relatively standardized so once an initial layout style has been perfected it is a quick process, however the sections will need to be reviewed to enure they meet a supplied building code. Initially this review can be completed jointly to ensure quality however over time it would be expected that you would be able to preform that function as well.
