CPM1 3D Printer

Primarily a personal project which can easily become a kit with the following User profiles - DIY Maker - Prosumer - Education - High school age kids Chassis - To be a platform with flexibility to BYO extruder/ electronics Extruder to be used will be primarily Micron3D single extruder. Optional mounting plate for other direct drive extruders or Bowden style. Material - flexibility through the extruder for a multitude of materials (May require multiple extruders therefore design easy removal and fitting of the extruder) PLA HIPS ABS PVA NYLON Flexible materials Modular DIY FDM style 3D printer. Able to be provided in 3 configurations 1. Fully assembled - 2. Semi-assembled - Broken into sub assemblies 3. DIY kit - Kinematics assembled / electrical and electronics plug and play with the rest to be assembled. Kinematics - HBot style using linear guide rails and GT2 belts and pulleys or advised materials. Z axis to use ball screw and thicker hardened rods for accuracy. Auto bed levelling using proximity sensor Build volume - initially 200mm cubed Z axis resolution - 50 micron Chassis material - (Laser cut or cnc machined) 6-8mm Acrylic, MDF, Ply Damper pads for x and y stepper motors if possible to minimise vibration / noise.
