We're looking to hire a highly experienced tech consultant who can lead the effort on our software development project including
1. Make recommendations/finalize tech stack to be used
2. Hire a small but highly skilled development team
3. Determine and provide consultation on the different milestones of the software development cycle
4. Help prioritize features for development, releases
5. Ascertain end-user needs and ensure that our software development is aligned to both our objectives and that of the end-users' needs
6. Ensure that our releases are streamlined, using resources efficiently, effectively, within budget and on schedule
7. Make sure that the different people/roles on the team are working cohesively and effectively
8. Translate business needs into geekspeak
During phase 1 of this project, we're focused on developing a couple of small modules that are crucial to our business and our customers over a 2 month period. During this phase, you will be expected to don multiple hats, including that of Product owner, Product Manager, Product manager, scrum master, technology architect and Business Analyst, just to name a few. Essentially, we'll need you to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, even do some of the heavy lifting so that you're able to immerse yourself in the project and get a sense for what we're trying to accomplish. As we get more more comfortable and pick up pace, we will recruit some of these roles for the subsequent development phases so as to allow you to focus on your primary role.
The project has already been funded. This is a Long term project, which we believe will take 6 months to a year. We're not a software development company, but building software is starting to become one of our core functions. I will provide more information at the time of interviewing shortlisted candidates.
We're already involved our end users in crafting user stories, have defined our needs from a business perspective and have hired a few consultants to provide inputs on the tech stack so we can have different perspectives.
We need someone to own the entire software development process, right from ideation through to execution and deployment. We want to build the right software, we want to build it right and we want to build it fast. If you have done this before, have been held accountable for a software's release and successful adoption, and have delivered, we'd like to talk to you!
