Ajax slideshow customization

using the following code/example we need extra functionality for clickable thumbnails to appear in the main image area. Also functionailty to add a pause and a resume button for the slideshow. By default the slideshow will be playing so when a thumbnail is clicked it should display the selected image and then continue with slideshow from that image onwards (keep image order e.g. image 4 clicked >> continue image 5, 6 etc. If the slideshow is paused only the current image will display in the main image area. The thumbnails should allow for a dynamic number of images much like how the larger images currently function.
