Convert an existing WIX site to a Word Press site

We want the site converted/migrated to the new container and following WordPress standards. We want to ensure we can upgrade the site container without breaking the site. The site can be GREATLY improved in the migration process and there is no need to "follow" the present layout/images at all. WIX does it things and WordPress does something else - we understand that. Note the sub-menus on the right hand side of the site when a left hand element is selected. Getting rid of many small "scrolling" blocks will be considered a good thing (testimonials) by having the full text visible. You may use ANY HIGH-QUALITY WordPress theme as a base - if no theme level changes are required then a child theme is not required either - e.g. can the site be done well with a given theme already?
