Hello! This is right up my alley. In HR, setting up tax withholding requirements is often what my days are spent doing. I definitely understand the complications that can arise from different state tax systems. I, in particular, have experience with Washington State (which is very much like Florida, as it also does not have a state income state), as well as Maryland, D.C. and Virginia - which, much like California - do. Maryland in particular works on a sliding scale that is very much like California; essentially, you fall into a percentage bracket and pay a flat fee on top of that.
In working with you, I will assemble a payroll folder that provides you with the necessary forms in order to report quarterly and/or annually as needed. The specific requirements of this will vary slightly depending upon which kind of business you are structured as (LLC, S-Corp, SP, etc.); I have extensive experience in all forms. From your 941 to your quarterly withholdings, we will get it covered. I have estimated 15 hours on this project, but I do bill real time - so, if it takes less time, I will charge accordingly!
Have questions? Just ask!
Thank you!
Andrea
