Hello, i'd like to work with you on this project but I have some recommendations: 1, The heart of your design is based on a resistor strip which brings some issues: resistor strips wear over time thus making their resistance values drift, therefore a calibration method must be builtin for the end-user to re-calibrate the system in case of a drift due to aging of the sensor or displacement of the strip sensor from the factory calibrated led lighting position. (and the distance btw the minutes in every hr is quite small making the design very prone to drift in resistance and would need occasional calibration) 2, why not try capacitive touch sensors? They are much better then resistive sensors.
