Project Overview
I need to create a point of sale system on a Raspberry Pi. The system should be able to import data that has all the products for sale and a corresponding trigger button (from the Arduino board). When the vendor presses a button on the Arduino board, the corresponding product is added to the shopping cart. Once another trigger button is pressed, the system should prompt the user to place his RFID bracelet on the scanner. At this point, the system should start scanning for RFID codes through the connected Mfrc522 RFID reader. Once a code is recognized, the system should prompt the user to type a 4-digit passcode in a USB numberpad. After "enter" is pressed, the system should send two POST requests to my server with JSON data. The first request will have a quicker response, as it will only check if the passcode is correct. A visual should be shown based on the response of the first request, and if the passcode is approved, it should check the response of the second POST request. If the second post request is successful, then the system goes back to the starting screen.
