I need an I/O device (or embedded software) to allow variable delay between a USB input and PC

I am a Certified LabView Associated Developer (CLAD) with more than ten years of experience. Based on what I know it is hard to precisely control the delay of the signal coming to the USB port because Windows is allowing priorities to USB devices and it is hard to precisely know the exact moment the signal came. Depending on how precise you want to have above mentioned delay, we might use USB and "hope" Windows transferred the request as soon as it came, or we can put NI DAQ card as data acquisition device and exactly control the timing. This depends on the configuration of the input devices and possibility to connect those to digital/analog inputs of DAQ card. Pelase contact me if you want to share further details about the project. Hello. I have 20 years experience in Linux kernel porting, device driver development, RTOS (FreeRTOS, uCOS) and bare metal systems using ARM and other Freescale processors (coldfire, gb60, m1, hc11). I would like to discuss the details of this project with you. Please feel free to contact me and we can go over your requirements. The approach will depend upon the device being delayed. Using a secondary device, such as a raspberry pi, in between would require emulating the actual device so that the host system would not see any difference. Not overly difficult, but further details would be required. Is the host PC a closed system? Would a filter driver on the host system be a possible solution? Please contact me for further details.
