I work for an online travel website and write articles on a consistent basis. I need a copywriter to quickly edit content and take what I have written and make it better. Each post is between 250-500 words. Turnaround time will be 1-3 days. Requirements: -Strong command of the English language -High accuracy in proofreading and editing -Knowledge of the travel industry is a BIG plus -Ability to tell a story with words In order to be considered for the position, you MUST complete the sample assignment. In 2012, I left my hometown in Texas and ventured south to pursue a bachelor’s degree at The University of Minesota. The pathway that I originally believed would lead me to become a doctor twisted and turned until I found myself deeply emerged in the world of business. From researching bumblebees to organizing one of Alaska’s largest cycling competitions, my college journey was jammed packed with a diverse set of hands on experiences. My first corporate internship taught me that the material I learned inside the classroom had limited application in the real world. I decided at that moment to focus on gaining real work experience. In 2015, I attended The Fast Startup Conference in San Diego and shifted my focus from climbing the corporate ladder and began working with startups. This conference was life changing, not from the material taught but by the perspective I gained from meeting real entrepreneurs dedicated to the everyday grind. Ever since I have been passionately working as a freelance consultant to help various startups bridge the gap and make their own dreams a reality. While I do have a full-time job with Google, I enjoy maximizing my three and four day weekends into adventure excursions. Last year I flew 76 times and spent over 100 nights in hotels. My goal is to see every country in the world before I turn 25. On the side, I am a travel writer, freelance consultant and business owner of multiple ventures including an advanced travel hacking course and e-commerce digital store. At the end of the day, finding solutions to complex problems is one of my biggest rushes. I am someone who rigorously questions everything in the world around me while thinking outside of the box to develop creative solutions. I am confident that the world is actually not that complex and that any problem is solvable if you can first understand the system that dictates it rules. 2.)
