Software & Hardware Design of a Power Supervision System

In need of electronic engineering (Software & Hardware) help to make a small Power Supervision System (PSS) The job is: a) To make a simple Power Supervision System based on a PIC processor circuitry, including hardware schematics, embedded PIC software, related PC software and full documentation. For details please see attached paper. b) Providing detailed and full drawn schematics in Altium (Protel) DXP Rev 7.2 format and a full Bill of Material including a minimum of 2 suppliers. c) Make the program for the PIC processor (PIC18F25K50) to operate the PSS with the functions as described in the attached paper. Functional changes and suggestions are welcome, but must be accepted in writing by us, before implementation. d) Make a small PC program (Windows XP and Windows 7 operational) which can 1) receive and log the health beat information received from the PSS, 2) provide the communication and setup capability of the PSS and 3) provide a small graphic display on the PC with the actual and accumulated AHr use. e) The source code and documentation, with detailed annotation in English, are to be supplied as part of the job. After full payment the IP belongs to us. f) To provide a written description in Words of the setup, operation and maintenance of the PSS. g) We will make a functional hardware proto-type based on the provided Altium (Protel) schematic, when final version is presented. h) Low power consumption of the PSS is required, due to operation from a Battery. i) To design and implement communication from a remote processor to the PSS via USB. j) The setup of the PSS – where needed – must be performed from the PC program via the USB connection. k) Budget: The PSS’s component cost must be kept as low as possible. Simple solutions and low price components are preferred over complex solutions or expensive components, where this can be done without compromising the quality and reliability. l) Providing options to the requested functions, if this can improve operation, lower production cost and/or improve quality. m) The Software language used to solve the project must be provided in the bid. All communication and documentation are to be in English. The document describing the requirement for the PSS is to be followed. If any inconsistencies or conflicts are identified these must be brought forward as well as any and all suggestions for improvement are welcome.
