Hi there, just checked out your project synopsis. Very easy and straight forward. As you did not specify the microcontroller platform to use, I would use the Arduino platform. Measured distance information would be sent by the Serial port to the PC hosting your software, you just need to tell me the formatting of the serial data to be sent. I hope this works well with you.
