Extract data from PPTX files and store in a CSV file. Objective is to extract per-slide text metadata out of a set of PowerPoint slide decks, and export them into a consolidated slide repository in the form of a single CSV file. The input to this script (preferably Python, but could also be VBA if easier/faster) would be a path to a directory with several PPTX files, and the output would be a comma separated CSV file populating metadata and extracted text from the files, where each row in the CSV represents a single slide. The result is a “database” with total number of rows as the total number of slides across all PPTX files. The deliverable should be executable on a Mac/PC in either Python or Visual Basic (other means may be acceptable too, talk to us…). See more details on the exact required data in the attached spec.
