Story: a recruiter in linked in contacted me regarding a job. They are looking for someone to work in HR department and specifically in employee relationship, team work and conflict resolution. I am attaching the job description and my CV for you to understand more about the situation. The thing is I feel that I am a perfect candidate for this job, however, I came from a nursing background and health care management. I was on study for the past 5 years and I did my master degree in Business psychology. And that’s why the recruiter contacted me but I don’t have HR experience although I did HR in my studies. So in the CV I don’t have the experience but I have a lot of experience in human behavior and communication and conflict resolution and that what they need for the job. The recruiter was a little bet hesitant when he know more about my experience in HR , however , he asked me to write cover letter to explain more about my experience and how can I fit to this job . I need you to write for me a cover letter in a very fancy business style to show my strength on the roles required for the job without focusing on my weak HR experience so that I can make it at least to the interview. My experience and achievement that you can mentioned in the cover letter to make it perfect for the role and why it is perfect for the roles: • Worked as a counselor for one of the most difficult patients based on studies ( Drug addicts and HIV patients ) • Work in management with responsibility of 45 staff • Trained and coached more than 2000 people in leadership and self-development in different countries like Oman, UAE and Egypt. • Master holder in Business psychology • Working currently in my organization as a business psychologist • Designed a leadership development program focusing on leadership and success principles with the integration of mindfulness to improve employee’s engagement and increase team work by creating a strong culture.
