Description:
This project is for the circuit design and prototype production of voltage regulators for a dual coil automotive type alternator. The design should include the use of both a pic microcontroller and a canbus (SAE ??" J1939) interface. The unit should be capable of driving dual field coils at 7 amps minimum (per coil) and utilize thermal compensation. Canbus outputs should be current unit health, amperage, voltage, & operating temperature. Estimated board target size 3 square inches. Also circuit should include header for RS232
Deliverables:
1. circuit schematic
2. board layout
3. bill of materials
4. firmware
5. firmware source code (c, asm, & binary programs)
6. populated, working prototype (qty 4)
Please quote for your time/labor on this. In your comments, you may include prices for other charges such as prototype boards, parts, and shipping to me. I will bonus out those costs to you as they become necessary.
This project will require a 10% expert guarantee with a thirty day prototype completion, and a forty-five day project completion.
Please include in your comments if you require milestone payments, and suggested milestones.
Note Added 02/07/2008:
Please note this request for bid is for a functional soltution/prototype. The project is not constrained to the use of a pic micro controller, or c language program. Other components or methodologies from those shown here are exceptable, the final design will be used for the production of 2,000 or more units, and functionality and unit production cost will be prime determination used in selecting the winner bidder.
