Needing a script coded to take data from an existing Excel sheet and make a few changes to one Column. I need a script that will delete certain unwanted data in Column A and replace it with what I need. In addition, if there is no data to delete I need it to simply add on to the existing data. It's very important that it skips any cell within that column, that does NOT have data. Ex. 123 Main, DA I would want the "DA" removed and add " , Dallas, TX" Ex. 123 Main I would want it too add ", Dallas, TX" I will need a drop down menu to select what I want inputted into each cell, between a few choices. 1. , Dallas, TX 2. , Fort Worth, TX 3. , Arlington, TX Looking for a clean UI, as I will be adding tools like this in the future, as they are needed and want them kept in one location. It's important that you understand Microsoft's weaknesses, which are plenty I know, but you should know how to work with it. I will NOT accept a Macro, Python or anything with Java in it's name. have that now and it's been a disaster, twice. If it was my choice it would be VB. It's also important to know that I currently have a VPS running Windows 2008 Server, I cannot upgrade with my current host, but will be looking at other hosts at some point. For now, it's 2008 Server. Faster the better on delivery

Hello. I'm a vb.net programmer. I have written many programs like the one you like. I will write a program with a simple user interface which can interact either with a txt file or eg an access or even another excel so you can set up parameters. You can also add them real time inside the program. After this you will just have to press one or two buttons depending on what you need to do and everything will be changed. It will be customizable so we can add extra code and operations in the future. And of course it will run in any windows computer or windows server. I can have it ready within 1-2 days. - Went through the explanation provided wanting to replace the Col A with the value that you wanted to Search and replace it with another value - as given in example DA to Dallas, TX - Additionally needing options in a dropdown to have "What to be replaced by" - The solution could be done via VBA scripting, have done some complex solutions - Will provide a GUI where you enter the string value and a dropdown to specify "what to be replaced by" and you click the button it would replace the values.
