We own and operate a web portal aimed at North American residents considering relocating in the Caribbean. It provides guidance and advice on moving and living in our country, finding jobs, adjusting to the culture and other information. It promotes tourism, health and wellness, real estate investments and retiring in our country. The site is new and has virtually no traffic.
We have a Facebook fan page with no fans and a Twitter page with 73 tweets and about 70 followers. Since the Caribbean is a highly pictorial topic, we'd like to have an Instagram page and a YouTube channel as well.
Firstly, we would like to have a social media strategist review our website and existing social media pages and give us actionable recommendations for increasing traffic and conversions at the lowest possible cost and thus, the highest ROI.
In addition, we'd like guidance and advice for creating an Instagram page and a YouTube channel and encouraging readers to post their travel photos and videos onto our pages, while giving us permission to use them in our site royalty free; perhaps this could be tied in with some sort of contest.
Lastly, we'd like to receive guidance and advice on inbound affiliate marketing; i.e., we don't want to market any affiliate's products....we want affiliates to market our own products instead. Right now the products are just downloadable reports and guides, but later we will be offering the possibility of booking hotels and vacation rentals through our site and may eventually offer some tangible products through an online store as well.
For each of these, ie. website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and affiliate marketing, we would expect to receive a 2-4 page report with your comments and recommendations. Among other things, we'd like to have from you practical suggestions for optimizing results, with emphasis on which markets and segments to target, how to best reach them, how to engage with them, and other such details.
Last but not least important, I need a conservative forecast of the number of potential conversions month by month in the first 3 months. For web traffic, I need to know how many new visitors I can expect the first, second and third month if I implement your recommendations. For social media, I need an estimate of the number of new followers, and so on. If you have not done enough projects to give me this kind of estimate, you are not qualified to consult on this.
If I am pleased with your knowledge and recommendations, there is a possibility I will hire you again to actually implement your own recommendations, with compensation being a combination of a small fee plus performance bonus.
