I am attempting to use the script that was created here: [login to view URL]
the exact script/google spreadsheet is here: [login to view URL]
I have edited the sheet with my particular keywords and info, but the script isn't working quite right, and it sends dozens (or hundreds) of emails, rather than just 1.
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if the script just doesn't work right.
I would like the script either fixed, or a new script created, that works the same way:
For any emails that come in and have a particular label applied, I need an email sent to a particular email address, with the label in the subject (appended with a #), and then the original email either deleted or the label changed (or something), so that the script doesn't keep running.
In summary, and for example, what needs to happen is:
1. an email comes into gmail and is flagged with a particular tag, let's call it "action1"
2. the script needs to either forward that email, or create a new email, and in either case needs to put #action1 in the subject, and send that email to a specific email address
3. the script then needs to either change the tag from "action 1" to "finished" (or whatever), or delete the email, so that the script doesn't process it again
4. ideally the script could work with multiple tags, so that anything with "action1" would send an email with #action1 in the subject, "action2" would have #action2 in the subject, etc... Alternatively I guess I could just copy the script and change it slightly fro the next tag
