Build a Website

General Requirements: 1. Need ability for end-users to access the website through standard web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Firefox with consistent experience. 2. Need ability for end-users to access the same website on mobile/tablet devices with use of Responsive Web Design. 3. Need ability for website to handle 50 concurrent users as well as upto 5000 requests per day. 4. Website design should support SEO. We will provide the color theme, icons, logo, terms of use, etc. Website Requirements Technology: PHP/MySQL/Javascript/AJAX/REST/JSON/XML 5. Website will have three main pages – 5.1) Home (with three sections top section – search, middle section – About us, bottom section – Contact us) 5.2) Search Results (with two views – one directed from Home, and other loaded from search results itself) 5.3) Details Page 6. Need ability for end-users to provide their search criterion in home page to search for their preferences. 7. Using end-user's IP, approx. geographical location of the end-user should be known, and logged temporarily. End-user should also be able to locate his/her geo location using the website. 8. Based on location(identified or user-provided), need ability to search for places to eat/drink, places to see, and things to do. This search will be based on location [city / zip / address]. User should also be able to search at or near any selected point of interest. Google maps will be the used for location/maps. 9. On the next page, search results and map of the location will be displayed. Individual result items will be connected to the dropped pins on the map. Search results will be displayed in paged manner with a pre-designed priority. 10. On clicking an individual search item or a pin on map, a pop-up based window would display details of the listing – name, address, category, contact info, etc to the user. 11. For page mentioned in #10, user would have the option to make selections to create a customized itinerary. Details of these will be provided after final selection. 12. The website will have an optional register/login feature for the user. Need to integrate login with Gmail/Facebook . 13. The website will log user’s session details(such as search query) in the database viz. [search item, location and other preferences/filters] Additional details - 14. Website and Code should follow industry best practices (using 'comments' extensively in source code; defining color schemes, fonts, etc in css files etc; creating reusable modules etc) 15. We will host the website on our own 16. We will need all the source code during testing, and upon completion 17. Developers should use best judgment while writing code – it should support performance, maintainability, and scalability 18. Cosmetic changes (like placement of controls, minor restructuring of layout) should be covered in the initial estimate. Agreement: - We need development team to sign a - Non-disclosure Agreement prior to reviewing detailed design/specifications. - Agreement indicating there would be no copyright violation or infringement by them in terms of source code or design. Development team will take complete responsibility of code provided by them.
