Build a Website

Venue website project You will work in independently to design, develop and document a website for a fictitious venue of your choice. You are allowed to create any venue you wish for any type of audience, but must invent a unique name, location and target market. The most important part of this assignment is that you create and implement a design for your venue that clearly meets the requirements of your venue's target market in terms of demographic, economic and cultural factors / signifiers. It is vital that you describe the target market clearly in your documentation and indicate as fully as possible how your website design meets the needs of your venue's users. For this exercise, the primary focus is on understanding users, and appropriate design / front end implementation. Deliverables 1 x live website located on the departmental server, complete with appropriate images that are specifically relevant. We recommend that you choose Wordpress to create your website. You must show evidence that you have at the very least chosen a theme relevant to the target market and specifically edited it to fit with your project. You must have permission to use any copyrighted media of any kind on your website, and can not under any circumstances use copyrighted media without the express permission of the copyright holder and the course conveners. 1 x 500 word individual commentary describing the target market, and how the design reflects it.
