AJAX Admin Portal

We need a Web-based front-end to be developed. This portal must be able to connect to our existing backend and will be used for administration functions. This will include a login page and a menu-based interface where the user can go into the various resources to create, update, retrieve and list items. There are also some basic search capabilities needed, as well as a page layout to display reports. The site should be responsive and should display properly on tablets and PCs. All data is stored in the API (back-end). A JavaScript based AJAX interface that can show the interface will be sufficient. The API exposes RESTful endpoints for all resource collections allowing CRUD operations via the standard HTTP verbs, and all endpoints accept application/JSON (or multipart/form-data where pictures or file attachments must be uploaded). All responses are JSON. The API is about 90% complete at this point and should be 100% complete in about a week. This means there is still an opportunity for you to make suggestions about how to improve the interface. The portal will be used internally by the user to manage customers, staff member profiles, upload newsletter, assign staff to shift duties, and view reports such as time and attendance. Details of all the functions will be provided to the successful applicant. The portal does not need any back-end processing, it can be purely Javascript / AJAX, but should read a configuration file with basic settings so that it can be deployed to a Test server as well as to a Production server by just changing the base URL for the API. The portal does not need to do user authentication but must display appropriate messages when the API rejects the user’s session token and should take the user back to the login screen if the session token is expired. The portal needs to look neat and tidy, and where possible requests should run asynchronously to make for a smoother, more responsive user experience. Please note that your code should be in a style that we can maintain. Your response should not include mention of irrelevant technologies based on the above to show that you understand my requirements.
