Drop Sidebar with Round Corners at Bottom
OVERVIEW:
My website is elastic and primarily uses ems as a layout measurement. There is javascript that instructs the left sidebar to drop with the mainContent div when the mainContent div is lower than the left sidebar.
This works fine but recently I added rounded corners on the top and bottom of the left sidebar div.
1)When the left sidebar div has more content than the mainContent div......there is no problem
example: [login to view URL]
2)When the mainContent div has more content than the left sidebar div......THERE IS A PROBLEM----see attached image: [login to view URL]
example: [login to view URL]
Look closely at example two and see that the rounded corner images did not drop automatically to the bottom but instead is hung up in the middle of the page.
TASK AT HAND
Write a script in conjunction with the javascript below (that is also embeded in all my webpages) that would drop the [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] (rounded corner images) when the mainContent div has more content than the left sidebar div. NOTE: My left sidebar div is a Dreamweaver CS4 library item. Once you fix one page I'll be able to update the library item (templete) .ibi file sitewide.
WHAT I DON'T WANT
Simply adjusting the css div height in each webpage manually.
.styles #sidebar1 {
float: left;
height: 850px;
}
THIS IS THE JAVASCRIPT THAT DROPS THE SIDEBAR DIV
<script type="text/javascript">
[login to view URL] = fixH;
function fixH() {
var one = 'sidebar1';
var two = 'mainContent';
if ([login to view URL](one)) {
var lh = [login to view URL](one).offsetHeight;
var rh = [login to view URL](two).offsetHeight;
var nh = [login to view URL](lh, rh);
[login to view URL](one).[login to view URL] = nh + "px";
[login to view URL](two).[login to view URL] = nh + "px";
}
}
</script>
As an emplorer, I choose the first service provider that can show in some kind of way that their method works. Sure, high feedback rating is nice, but I'm finding the one with the answer---concerning my current needs, always does great.
