We are a web hosting company looking to hire a server expert with ATLEAST 6 years of experience that can basically handle the tasks that our L1/L2 techs cannot and MUST speak PERFECT English. Ideally this job is for someone who works in this field already and is online most of the day anyways that can handle on average 1-2 tickets per a day on the side of their other regular main duties/job. Some of our requirements: - Very well versed in CentOS and all of its subsystems such as apache, mysql, cPanel, XEN, OpenVZ, nginx, varnish but also be able to handle Windows Server issues from time to time. - Well versed in optimizing high traffic systems and setting up advanced configurations and software for better performance (custom nginx, varnish, php-fpm, apache, etc) - Atleast 6 years of experience. - Can be online atleast 8+ hours a day to handle any ticket, with 1-2 days off a week that can be on call for emergency issues. - Speak English very well - we have found too much confusion with techs who cannot understand our clients due to language barriers. - Be able to be alerted by email of tickets you need to resolve or Skype. (0-3 per a day max) - Paid by check or paypal We would prefer to pay per a ticket. What we have in mind is $6 for most tickets and anything that takes more than an hour to resolve can be a $12 ticket (more if the issue takes longer). In time we are looking for this person to become a support manager on a regular monthly salary which will be responsible for making sure tickets are handled and resolved properly in a timely manner.

Hi, well I dont understand the intricacy that handling clients can involve. Not only do they want their problem to be solved but they want mental satisfaction too. I have had my own hosting business for a couple of years and I have excellent experience with customer support. I used WHMCS for client management. . . Hello there, My name is Bogdan Stoica and I am working as a Linux Senior Server Administrator at one of the biggest web hosting companies from my country Romania. We have over 50 dedicated servers and couple hundreds of virtual machines. We are using cPanel/WHM for all our shared web hosting servers and reseller accounts. Operating system is CentOS 5,6,7. As a virtualization technology we are using vmware, ESXi 4 and 5, vCenter, vSphere client etc. We also use Proxmox (with ovz and lxc + kvm), SolusVM with openvz and sometimes even docker. My job is to keep all those servers and virtual machines functional. We are using haproxy + nginx + apache as a reverse proxy server and web server, MySQL and MariaDB (sometimes PostgreSQL) for database servers, exim + MailScanner + SpamAssassin. I have over 10 years experience with any linux distribution and at 7+ years with cPanel/WHM. I also have good experience with HTML/CSS, medium experience with scripting (mostly bash) but also a little perl, basic knowledge with PHP+SQL (web programming) and good experience with malware removal tools, server security, accounts and data migration. I currently work in IT full time. I'd be interested in helping you out. I'll confess that I'm stronger at Windows than CentOS so that might not work for you. I do have a Linux background and am confident I can improve my CentOS skills. I'm willing to take a class to get stronger with that OS. What time are you expecting the 8 hours availability to take place? I'd like to keep this separate from my day job as much as possible. I could be available to work from 5pm to 1am Central time most days. If I understand the description correctly, there should only 1 - 2 tasks a day to manage. What kind of turnaround time are you expecting?
