CROWDFUNDING RESEARCH – INDIEGOGO AND KICKSTARTER Background – It is now possible for people to immediately increase their capacity to Listen, concentrate, understand and recall new information. In an age of increasing and overpowering digital distractions a solution to helping everyone focus during meetings, presentations, lectures, and class is an imperative for each person and their futures. As soon as someone even thinks of apply SmartWisdom to what they are listening to, watching or reading… the benefits of concentration, increased listening immediately kick in. SmartWisdom makes a big difference for everyone, and for certain groups of people such as those with Dyslexia it is a life changer. What help is needed and why – The founder of SmartWisdom Jonathan Kemp, believes now is the right time to take SmartWisdom global, the urgency is the level of distraction everyone is facing and how this is impacting day-to-day life. The first step of this process is to take 15 years’ worth of development and face-to-face training in SmartWisdom to create high quality on-line learning which can be accessed by anyone anywhere. He now intends to run a very successful crowd funding campaign on either Kickstarter or Indiegogo. What help is needed from Freelancers – I would like a freelancer to do research on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter to identify what makes a successful campaign. I have put a list of the research below and will give a more detailed breakdown on awarding this project What skills does the Freelancer Need? First class English. An ability to undertake detailed research. A commercial/sales/business development mind-set (very important) which can identify commercial success and the reasons behind that success. An eye for detail .Expertise in doing comparison and cross analysis between different offerings. Very comfortable at making recommendations and explaining the reasons why. Ideally an artistic eye and word craftsmanship to spot the nuances of success. An interest in crowdfunding, education, self-development dyslexia or taking a transformational solution worldwide is a great bonus! Finally a history of success on Freelancer What does the project entail? There are a number of stages Stage 1 Get core details from both Indiegogo and Kickstarter on which constitutes a successful campaign and create a clear summary in word on no more than 10 pages of A4 Stage 2 Identify 6 successful campaigns on Indiegogo/Kickstarter a - in the education sector, ideally online learning b - for books, ideally around education, learning, self-improvement c – Other fields – first priority is dyslexia, after that any which are not technology related Only need the name of the campaign, about three lines on each of the following under these headings. Again this should be no more than 10 pages of A4 - what it was about - why it was unique - why you think it is a good example Stage 3 To do a cross analysis and extract specific data from each campaign which will go into a spreadsheet. This will be mainly qualitative with some quantitative. Such as start of campaign, duration, start day, finish day, number of backers, most successful reward level, number in team, team roles etc, stretch goals etc… I will assist with the building of this spreadsheet. All of this will fit onto one spreadsheet Stage 4 From the 18 successful examples you have identified, I would then like you to identify your - - top 4 - - in eight different categories and put two the three bullet points to explain your reasons
