As soon as I saw this project, I already came up with a procedure. Based on additional information provided, I could create an initial iteration of the design in Solidworks and use finite element analysis to see if the design could withstand at least 2kg. When the initial design is finalized, I can make a simulation to show its function and if you want to go further, I can make a bill of materials unless you already had parts in mind. In the past couple years, I have had experience in CAD modeling, embedded systems, and mathematical models and simulations.
