Good Afternoon, So there’s not a lot of information to work with here, but I’ll share what I know. Full disclosure, I am not an attorney but as a songwriter and musician I have worked with attorneys on this specific subject. If you’re not the owner of the compositions and or sound recordings you need an agreement in writing with the artist or artists to exploit the works, PERIOD. In those agreements ( at the very least )should be the specific mediums you are planning to use in order to exploit the works, how everyone is going to get paid, and the term of these agreements. In addition, no one else can have exclusive rights with the owners of the works to do this or you will either face legal problems and/or your agreement won’t have any legal grounds. There’s a lot more to this, I’d be more than happy to work with you in putting this together and or doing further research or if you want me to create the agreements for you, tell me what you want out of the deal and I will work with my attorneys to get this done.
