This is all possible to do with Nginx via a reverse proxy. However, a preferred method of doing this is with the traefik webserver, or caddy webserver. Doing this with Nginx makes things non-portable between multiple systems, it's essentially a legacy method of deploying services at this stage. With a traefik configuration, ssl is automatically configured via letsencrypt without the bootstrapping problem of having to expose the service on port 80 initially to have certbot handle certificates for example. I'd like to talk more about this, however if you wish for me to use Nginx I'm more than capable of doing that too. TL;DR: Reverse proxying in Nginx is simple and is how you would accomplish what you're requesting.
