Background of us: we are a Community based (not-for-profit) search engine called AnooX: [login to view URL] We are looking for an expert JSP & MySQL on Linux developer to do one small development now. If you do a great job we will have many other small to medium developments for you. Background of development task: AnooX search engine search results are optimized by the knowledge of the people via their voting for the listings. You can read about this aspect of AnooX here: [login to view URL] To become a Voting member a person needs to either make a $5 (refundable) payment via Credit Card or send in a copy of their Notarized Photo ID. We had voting members sign up this way to prevent multiple sign-up and thus multiple votes by the same people which would inevitably lead to spam voting. Description of the development. We want to change the Voting system to be based on simple fill a form & submit it with cookie checking & IP checking to as much as possible prevent multiple sign-ups at sign-up time and then augment the voting with strong monitoring and policing to reverse the votes of spammers and to close their account and block their IP should it be needed. Essentially we are going to very much adopt a Wikipdia model for member signup and allowing them to share their knowledge and for our Admins of Voters to admin & police the voters, the votes. Exact specifications will be provided when we go to the next step, which is we have heard from you and are certain that you have world class expertise in regard to JSP & MySQL on Linux. When replying please provide details as to why/how you have the needed expertise with some samples of your work.
