Wordpress Spaceship Theme--Design and Implement

This will be for a project blog, a series of essays describing a spaceship setting. You are looking down a road lined with densely-packed buildings on both sides. The road itself emits all ambient light, so "up" recedes into darkness. The building facades frame the website's content on the right and left; on the bottom they fade into road color and on the top into black. The site's menu protrudes from one of the buildings. The content background should be road color. You need to be able to: - design graphics for the building facades - choose a coherent, high-contrast color scheme for the "road"/background, text, menus, blockquotes, etc - implement a wordpress theme (PHP/HTML/CSS). If you are strong on design and graphics, and can do enough CSS and HTML to hack up an existing design, I can do the PHP. - verify that the design is correct in Firefox and IE7 on Windows. (I can verify Firefox on Linux). I need to see an existing wordpress theme you've designed, and graphics that you've made (these can be the same site if you've done all the work on it yourself). Some additional technical requirements (added nov 14): - floating width; must never have a horizontal scrollbar - all pages must pass XHTML/CSS validation - preferably no javascript ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux/PHP/Apache2/Wordpress 2.2.1 (will upgrade if necessary) Design needs to be tolerably similar on Firefox on Windows XP and Linux, and IE7 on Windows XP.
