Website & Database Design

This project needs to be completed in different phases. First, I need my current website completely redesigned to look more professional. My wife and I have found a really good website that we both like and is in the same type of business we are in, so I would like to find someone that can look at this other website and design ours with the same functionality and basic structure, but also make ours look a little different (in other words, I don't just want someone to copy someone else's website). My wife and I are in the used book business to give you an idea. One of the things I need to be able to do is to allow different users to log onto my website and view certain things based on information retrieved directly from Amazon. Amazon has something called AWS (Amazon Web Services). I need an application that can either run locally on my own PC, or run and store the data from my web server. The application needs to be able to retrieve items sold thru my Amazon account, and then store key pieces of this data for use in reports of my own, and be used to create a type of invoice for a specific use in my business. I realize this description is vague, but I am only trying to give a general idea of what I need to have done - I will be able to describe my needs in more detail after I have selected the person I want to use for this project... In addition to the above project, if possible, I would like the person working on this to be able to design me a different application that will specifically use XML and work with another program I currently use called Dazzle, as well as [login to view URL] to create shipping labels. This application is something completely different from the one above, but is also needed to make our work much easier. Again, a better description will be given once I have selected the person for this job. Primarily, I need to know if you have the ability to take an existing program apart and figure out how it works to make this new application work in a similar way....
