Hi, This is a relatively small project. Essentially, alot of parsing has to go through. I usually handle my perl projects myself, however, I am going away from programming. The website is [login to view URL] Once you go there, you will see the districts associated with the map, each district has villages associated with it, and there is informaiton associated with each district. So, take the first district for example, click on Amritsar, [login to view URL] It provides generalize information of that district. This needs to be categorized and indexed in our database. Now, we go all the way bottom of the webpage that say "List of Villages". These are villages associated with that District. Follow this link and categorize the informaiton. I want you to categorize this informaiton as well. Next, I want you parse the informaiton associated with that village by following the link. Also, Each village may also be associated with 'tehsil' (noted on top of the village list). This is needs to be parsed. I want all of this informaiton parsed via perl script. I will run this script every now and than to see what has been updated or dropped of of the list. This is important. On check mode, it will not update the database, but would send me an email with the 'differences' of particular field as oppose to the 'orginal' and 'lastrun'. If i feel i need that particular piece updates, i will run it in the 'live' mode. This information should be stored in mysql database, so make sure you make some sort of schema for it. Thank You
