This job involves adding the ability for a visitor of a funeral home web site to read an obituary for a person and sign an online condolence (guest book) book. I have already made it possible for the owner to udate, add, remove obituary notices, but now we must add the ability for a visitor to leave their name (sign a 'guestbook') for a certain obituary. That means each obituary needs to have its own sort of guestbook. Obituaries are only online for about 1 week. Then they are replaced with new ones. I do not think a guestbook cgi script will work for this since each obit needs its own and each obit is seperate from the other. In other words, we can not have Joe signing Franks condolence book but it shows up in the online book for another person as well. And these condolences would only be viewable for a week at most anyway. I have used a perl script to give the site owner the ability to update the obit page...I do not think this will work without using a database. The server is linux and has a mySQL database and php4 or jsp capabilities as well as perl etc. The page/site in question is located at [login to view URL]
I look forward to hearing from good programmers who can get a job done correctly. I have other projects which will involve programming work and am looking to form a relationship with a good programmer so I am looking.
Thank you.
