Hello, Here are our initial recommendation: - Host on digitalocean or amazon or similar cloud provider. A machine with few cores ($20 at digital ocean) should be able to handle the initial load (beta/testing). THen if required, we can setup a larger/complex server setup. - use MySQL db and php5 laravel framework to create the APIs which will be used by the web and desktop clients. - Use angularjs, jquery, twitter bootstrap, html5 to create a well performing rich web interface to administer / manage the system. This web app will use the APIs provided to manage the system and this will be a single page web app. - The desktop client can be made using visual studio (c#.net). Here are few questions: - ticket designs: what file format will those be in? - Your timeline as you mentioned it is important. - Is any payment handled in this system or just the record keeping and reporting?
