Need code to be able to connect to https websites using winsock

Hello I need to use winsock to be able to download from https:// sites.. There is a working example with source code at [login to view URL] however it is incredibly difficult to understand. I just need an example how to connect and download from a https:// site, using the winsock control and not winsock API. This involves the protocols TLS, SSLv2 and SSLv3. The example given works very well and it should not be too hard to duplicate it into a simple project which uses the winsock control. This needs to be coded in Visual Basic 6.
